The return

This movie was a descent move i felt that it had to many blank scenes were nothing at all was going on. this In the beginning this movie looked like it wasn't going anywhere and it seemed like it had a blue tint. when they left with there father i kept feeling that he was going to be the bad guy in the movie and was going doing something illegal especially when he first bought that package from the man by the docks. also, There mother and grandmother didn't seem to happy to see there dad, that kind of gave me the feeling he really wasn't a good person. Ivan seems to dislike his father a lot and just wants to go home after the first hour of being with his father, He is holding a grudge for not being there for the last 12 years. Andrey is not holding a grudge at all he is glad that his father is back and seems to kiss up to him so that he wont leave again. When there father die you can see him in them when they use a lot of the things he said and taught them after he dies.

Brother

I really liked the film today, it really kept my attention and i liked how all he really wanted to do was listen to music. I felt like the music helped him forget about all the killing he has done the night before, it kept him level head.I don't think he really liked killing people but if it came down to it he had no problem. He only killed bad guys, and tried to take care of innocent people like the guy who went to the wrong house and the lady that drove the train. Danila was somewhat of a modern day hero, or just a good guy who got mixed in the wrong people because of his brother.

Little Vera

This Film was a little weird and began to get a little irritating. The acting in this movie was very good but that was the only thing i liked. This movie showed the negative effects of alcohol and how it can ruin peoples lives, unlike all the other movies we have seen which alcohol was used as a celebration or just a normal drink which didn't effect ones life. This movie was very depressing and gave me an insight on the Russian family, lifestyle, fears and hopes. None of the characters are even likable enough to care about what happens to them.

Ivan childhood

I really liked this film with the great camerawork. It bring in the real atmosphere of the war in the Russian winter. Throughout, there are different striking shots like the falling bucket, reverse shots filmed in water, the filming in the trees, and especially the final scene where Ivan overtakes the girl and runs along the edge of the ocean. The acting is this film by the characters is really good, and the story is striking enough that it still deserves to be heard again. The only thing i didn't like about this film is i Felt that it could have been a lot longer. But otherwise this is a film that i wouldn't mind watching again.

Ivan The Terrible

I really didnt like this film cause it seemed wierd and was hard to understand.Ivan The Terrible is one of the most bizarre and compelling movies i have ever seen. Ivan is so overdone that his gestures remind me of one of the silent film weve seen in the past. What is good about this movie is the camera and lighting compared to most of the movies we have seen. This film reminded me of a type of gothic type film. The eye movement of all the cast was also wierd.

Chapaev

I liked this Film because I felt it had a good plot and it kept my attention and i felt that i learned a little bit of history in this movie about the Russian civil war. I think this movie had good success with the Russian public because it was a true story and Chapaev was a type of hero to them during Russian civil war. This movie was my second favorite behind Battleship of Potemkin, i don't know maybe i just like war movies a lot. What i liked better about this film then Battleship of Potemkin, I liked how this movie had different types of genre, like drama, action, a little bit of a thriller, and comedy (maybe only funny to me). and in the movie it wasn't silent. The only thing i didn't like about it was it didn't have a good ending how the 2 of the main characters died at the end, and it made it seem like the Bad guys won and that is never a good way to end a film like this.

Man with the Movie Camera

This Film is unique and Different than anything i have ever seen before, with very few charters and just how it was plotted out. Out of all the Films this was my least favorite i didn't feel like this film had a real important meaning. The music in this film was very different and seemed to play like a CD on a repeated cycle, i think every song was played over 2 times. While watching the movie i really didn't think there was a character until the question was brought up and I thought about it, I think the Character was the man with the camera and one of the female worker you see thought the Film. If i had to give this film a Genre i think it would be a Documentary because he traveled different places and Filmed different Events.
